We can contribute using our Paypal and GoogleCheckout accounts.

Other possibilities which could be looked into include microfinance sites like [[http://www.pledgie.com Pledgie]] and [[http://www.kickstarter.com Kickstarter]].  Pledgie may allow to avoid paypal/amazon donation restrictions until we achieve our 501c3 by allwing us to accept open ended donations which would then be transferred to us via paypal
Interested people/companies may choose to make financial contributions to Heatsync Labs that extend beyond typical membership/automatic donations.  These interested parties will be able to make donations using the following mechanisms:

I saw mention of incuding a thermometer on the FOS (front of site) Here is some example code we could use, unless someone wants to be creative and make it themselves.

Checks can be made payable to Heatsync Labs, and given to any active member. Active members will then place the check into the drop safe sitting on the east wall of the lab (in the shelves).  The drop safe will be emptied, and checks deposited twice a month.

I was listening to the This American Life podcast this morning and Ira was doing his usual beg for donations speel.  As usual I fell bad because I haven't donated and its been years of hearing this pitch.  Then Ira says you can text them 5 bucks by texting Life to some number.  So I gave them 5 bucks.
Cash can be given to any active member, who will then place the cash into an envelope (envelopes are available on the top of the safe), make a note on the envelope, and place the envelope into the drop safe located on the east wall of the lab.

I looked into the organization and its pretty cool.  Theyre a non profit I guess?  And if you're a 5013c theyll give you a keyword to text to them and you can specify the amount.  Sadly well have to wait for 5013c but this seems like an amazing way to grab impulse/guilt donations.

There is a $350 application fee which isnt that much, but right now we can't expect to see that back shortly

Please compile a list of corporations and entities we would like to approach, and things we would ask for.  From some initial research local seems to be big.  Local companies, and even local arms of global companies are interested in showing they are part of their community so it will be important to target these.  From the same research, it seems like it will be extremely difficult to get anything until our 501c3 has cleared.

*I think computer software would be an easy one to get as they really aren't giving up anything.  Things like Altium circuit designer for PCB design, Adobe products and such.
This will deposit bitcoin into our coinbase account.  If you would like this to be immediately converted to USD, please email the current treasurer and ask them to withdraw the funds.
*We have a lot of high tech companies who may have old stock to give up.  Also there's been a lot of good posts online about dumpster diving these high tech companies for the stuff they're throwing out.  Anyone have ideas on this?
*Sort of a donation, dumpster diving is a possibility :) http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/boingboing/iBag/~3/i8y-IKqL-CQ/dumpsterologist-radi.html
