Drea, the rose-scented feminine goddess among stinky nerd boys, is an Arizona native and graduate of ASU. Even though she abandoned her intent to become an attorney, her love of paperwork and keen organization skills were not lost. Currently functioning as secretary (as well as den mother, maid, legal counsel, and a source of entertainment) she is the go-to person for structural, membership, and calendar related questions! You can usually find Drea with her nose in a book, video game, or HSL documents.

As a long time proponent of open source and hardware, Zach has played several active roles to promote its adoption. At ASU, he led countless minions to the Free software world through his presidency at ASULUG. After graduation, he passed the torch on to new converts and decided to extend his contribution to the open source community beyond ASU. In 2009, Zach founded Digital Desert, a datacenter that contributes resources to the open source community at large, including the only non-snail powered Slackware mirror and servers for both ASULUG and DeLUG. Zach's other areas of interest include amateur radio, photography, and supercomputing (which lead to a role in building SCinet, the world's fastest network in 2009).

Current Board Members

The following is a list of the current Board of Directors. As you may have noticed, we currently have two positions that have been vacant since their previous officials resigned. As required in our bylaws, the officers of the Board must elect some replacements to fill the positions until the next general election.

We're asking for nominations for candidates for the office of Treasurer and Resource Manager. The descriptions of what responsibilities these offices entail can be found in the bylaws. All board officers must pay monthly dues, attend bi-weekly Board meetings, and are encouraged to walk around in lab coats. If you're interested in joining our ranks, please e-mail our champions, Jacob and Jeremy using info {at} heatsynclabs.org.

HeatSync Labs is run by a Board of Directors, which rules HeatSync Labs with an iron fist and a golden wallet. Each officer is voted into office once a year by the membership, unless they become vampires and become impeached. The bylaws outline the structure of the Board in more detail.

If you would like to contact everyone on the Board, drop a line to board [at] heatsynclabs.org.

Our current slate of officers are the following:

CHAMPIONS

Jeremy Leung

Originally from Deutschland, Jeremy immediately fell in love with the American hacker community and is driven to promote the positive connotations of the word "hacker". After graduating from UAT and stepping down from leadership of DC480, to join the work force, he still had the lingering idea of wanting to make a mad scientists lab with his friends. During the day he works as a Trainer of Systems Technicians, Administrators and Engineers. At night he dons the appropriate safety gear to create things and push HeatSync Labs forward.

Jacob Rosenthal
