Lets pick out a list of 'essential' tools in each category. The Fab Lab might be a good starting point for this. For those that are prohibitively expensive, lets choose the ACTUAL tool we ACTUALLY want to buy and post a kickstarter campaign for it.

For cheaper tools Auctions, Craigslist and Cheap Chinese Tools are probably the way to go to start.
